Addressing the reporters, Mr. Olugbade explained that Lagos Fashion fair is a unique fashion show because it focuses on business rather than fashion show.

According to him, its aim is to provide an enabling platform where creative Nigerian designers and fashion entrepreneurs would connect with international designers to showcase the beauty and creativity of both world through their designs and innovations, and in the process, negotiate business deals.

The same aim, he said, that event’s partners shared with them. Notable among these partners are House of Tara, FADAN (Fashion Designers Association of Nigeria), Oriflame, Lo lavita and more.

Mr. Olugbade also enthused that this year’s edition will feature over 40 Nigerian and foreign exhibitors.

Speaking about the vision of the fair, Mr Olugbade said that the event offers opportunity for designers, fashion retailers, fashion professionals, boutique owners, stylists, fashion enthusiasts , models, trendsetter and consumers to interact, network and build business relationship with our own local designers and international exhibitors.

He further stated that through this fashion fair “we promote and celebrate Nigerian entrepreneur who have mastered the art of fashion by investing new innovations, making bold statements and creating more versatility in fashion world.”

Also speaking at the event, the Marketing Manager of Atlantic exhibitions, Miss Olivia Modisakerg stated that the essence of the fair was to bring in people from the international communities like China, Turkey and India to meet with talents in the Nigerian fashion industry and create synergy between them.

“Another unique thing about Lagos fashion fair is the fact that CEO of many fashion industries from these countries will be present and on ground to attend to our designers and thus this will ease Nigerian designers the stress of going overseas and spending money to meet them and as such impact on the designers positively,” she said further.

According to Olugbade, the host company was known for organizing quality exhibitions that cut across local and international boundaries. No wonder that the fair is not limited to Nigeria as it has been held in other countries like Tanzania, Kenya, Cameroun, Mozambique and Republic of Congo.

This year’s edition of Lagos Fashion fair will feature exhibitions, masterclasses, runway, entertainment, networking, freebies, amazing discounts, raffle draws and more!
